Dear Subscribers to the TAC Electronic Newsletter
We have made improvements to the TAC website. We hope you will find the new information as well as the new look and feel useful. Also, you can register to be a user of the TAC website and you can write comments on TAC articles or even write your own stories for our Community page.
This page is one of the most frequently visited on the site and contains useful contact information and advice for people at risk of HIV infection or already infected with HIV. We update it regularly. For example we updated it today with the contact details of probono.org, an organisation that offers free legal services to poor people who have been discriminated against.
This page lists most of TAC's treatment literacy publications as well as useful materials from other organisations such the Southern African HIV Clinicians Society and the World Health Organisation. You can also download back issues of TAC's magazine, Equal Treatment here:
A list of post-exposure prophylaxis facilities obtained from the South African Police Services is available here:
Lists of health facilities where antiretroviral treatment is available are provided here:
Some doctors who treat people with HIV are listed here:
We often get requests for names of doctors who treat HIV. Therefore, we would like to update this list regularly. Please send names and contact details of doctors who treat HIV to email@example.com. No quacks or charlatans please; only bona fide medical practitioners.
We purchase the latest private sector antiretroviral medicine prices from Medprax on a weekly basis. The price list can be found here:
State tender medicine prices are available here:
Many researchers and journalists contact us to find HIV statistics. We have therefore set up this page.
We have greatly improved our website donation system. There are a variety of ways to donate to TAC, including via facebook.
Mark Heywood's series on politics and health is a work in progress. We update it every few weeks.
Finally, we've updated our newsletter software. Instead of subscribing or unsubscribing using the old method, these are now handled directly on the TAC website.
Many more improvements are planned, including better organisation of TAC's campaign documents.
Please send feedback on errors or omissions on the website to firstname.lastname@example.org.
